Overall… sounds like a trip we made a few years back. Planned on taking the classic mini, but ended up renting (hiring) a convertible Bini. We have AAA coverage, but their packages are no where near as extensive. Basically all they cover is up to 200 miles of towing which is great for local drives with old cars. Glad y’all had a great time

the basic rule with sprinting is the more modified the car is, the more safety kit either you or your car needs - there is a very basic guide on the Isle of Wight Car Club website - here is a link, but I will defo make a video in the future on this topic - iowcc.co.uk/sprint/

cheers, yes this event is getting bigger and bigger - the good news is the Island Stages came back in 2022 as a gravel event, this was basically to show Motorsport UK that we were capable of running a safe event and this year is the next development, a closed roads tarmac rally in November - check out this link - iowcc.co.uk/rally/. its all stepping stones and maybe, just maybe one day we will get back to the days of a multi stage rally on the island again - check out this video of us doing the island stages in 2022 - ua-cam.com/video/toyZP0zmej0/v-deo.html
